Water tank
Summer Only

*Running water is only available mid May-through September. We drain the cabin when freezing temperatures begin.

Heater
This is a propane heater. Turn the knob to 'Pilot' while holding down the little button on the left. When it's cold you may have to hold it for 10+ seconds to ignite the pilot light. If it won't light, give it a few seconds and try again. It's a hard start when it's very cold. Once it's lit (you will see a little blue flame) turn the knob to level 4-5. Then turn it down to your liking.
To turn it off, simply turn the knob to 'Off'.
If you can not get it lit, it may be out of propane. You will have to replace a tank. See video. Extra tanks are in the shed.

Do not run it for more than 2 hours at a time.
When you turn off the generator you can go back on solar by plugging the large cord back in to the front of the unit.

2. Check it for gas. Extra gas is in the shed.

Fridge/freezer
It's small but it hold enough food for a 3-4 night stay. The freezer has ice trays.

Cedar shower
Only turn on the 'hot' side. The water temperature should be perfect. This runs on a tankless hot water heater and when the temperature is set to 110 degrees, you don't need to add cold. The temperature panel is under the sink. Set it how you like it.
5 minute showers will use around 10 gallons of water. Check the tank accordingly to make sure you have enough water. The tank holds 48 gallons full. If you choose to use the shower we recommend starting with a full tank of water under the sink or you will run out of water quickly and burn out the water pump.
Bring your own towels.

Hot water heater
If you are not familiar with a tankless hot water heater, you do not need to add cold water to get the temperature you desire. It's already set. If you want warm/hot water to come out of the sink or the shower, turn the knob completely to hot. It will put out the perfect temperature without having to run the cold.
Control the temperature of the water with this panel under the sink. If you change it, set it back to 110 degrees when you leave. Operational in Summer only.

Patio furniture (summer only)
We supply the propane, just be conscious of how long you keep it on. Turn it off when not in use. Cover the sofa and tuck the cover under the legs to secure from wind. Don't cover the fire pit with the sofa cover. Keep them separate.

Fire pit
Bring firewood, or forage for dead branches on the property. Bring enough water to put out the fire completely if you choose to make one. This area is known for high winds that come up fast. Check for a fire ban before you proceed. Place cover back on when finished.

Stair lights inside
For fabulous ambiance, turn on the stair lights at night and turn OFF the can lights on the ceiling. Use the remote to change the color and brightness
